Can I get this car delivered?
Elite Rental offers delivery upon request to your location within Dubai. However, free pick-up from their branch in Dubai is available during office hours.
How much I will be charged for crossing salik gate?
You will be charged AED 5upon crossing every salik (toll) gate. You will be billed at the end of your rental duration. The salik amount may be deducted from your security deposit or you can pay for it separately.
What type of vehicle insurance will I receive by default?
As per RTA, all rental cars in the UAE are provided with comprehensive insurance (a.k.a. basic insurance). This means that by default, you are covered incase of an accidental damage provided it isn’t your fault. A police report must be obtained at the time of an accident. Your rental amount includes basic coverage. Most car rental companies provide CDW (collision damage waiver) for an additional charge. This covers you for any accidental damage by your own fault as well. However, a valid police report is still required for coverage.
When I will get my security deposit back?
The car rental security deposit between AED 1000 – AED 10,000 is taken at the start of rental. It is released max 30 days after the car is returned. It may be returned to you by bank transfer, cash deposit into your bank account or cheque. Security block by credit card pre-authorization is better as it is automatically released by the bank on the same credit card within 30 days.
What is mileage limit? What happens if I exceed it?
All rental cars come with standard mileage limit based on your rental period. However, some companies offer unlimited mileage as well. Custom mileage limit packages for an additional charge may be available. To calculate your mileage, the car rental agreement mentions the km on the car’s odometer at the start of your rental. If you exceed the allowed kms, additional charges apply. For this car, AED 25 / km is chargeable above the included mileage limit.
What is the minimum age limit to hire a car in the UAE?
The legal age to rent a vehicle (car, van, pick-up truck, SUV or any other) in the UAE is 21 years as per RTA regulations. However, this largely depends on the insurance policy issued to the car by the car rental company. The minimum age may be 23 years and even 25 years, in some cases. The minimum age to rent the listed car is 18 years. Please contact the supplier for more details.
Can I rent this car with a new driving license in Dubai?
If you have a new driving license that’s less than six months old, please check with the car rental agent as the requirement varies based on the insurance policy of the respective car. Some are available for new driving license holders at a higher security deposit amount, with limited insurance coverage and liable for higher excess fee while others are only available with older licenses. All cars can be rented with a valid driving license older than six months.

When do I pay?
After you send a booking request, the vendor will accept or decline (usually) within a few hours. Once your booking is accepted, you will be notified by email and will now have to then pay online through AnchorsBook in order to confirm your slot within 48 hours before your booking date/arrival.
What is a rental vs. a charter?
Rentals are when you completely operate and control the watercraft. Charters are when you are provided a captain (included in the rate/price).
What’s the ‘rate’ (price) for different watercrafts?
Rates are for either an hour, several hour slot, or day. More details are included in the listing title and/or description.
I need more information, can I contact the vendor?
Feel free to contact us* (Email, Phone Call, Whatsapp) with any questions about the booking process, or specific listing and our team support team will get back to you (4:00pm-11:57pm Dubai time, all week).
Once your booking has been accepted and payment completed, you are able to directly message the vendor to better coordinate pickup/dropoff if needed.
Can I drink on a yacht in Dubai?
AnchorsBook works with yachts/vendors that are licensed to serve alcohol in Dubai for guests during a booking. Please note this is restricted to the yacht/venue itself, as public drinking or alcoholism is strictly restricted. Always check the details of a listing to see if drinking is permitted.
Do I need a boating license for a rental in the UAE (Dubai or Abu Dhabi)?
No! It is not needed for charters or rentals! Just make sure to arrive with your emirates ID or passport on your person.
How long does it take to setup? Can I cancel?
Rentals or Charters can ALWAYS be setup/ready for the next day, or (in some cases) on the same day. Each vender has their own cancellation policy in their listing, otherwise the AnchorsBook policy is simply refunds for bad weather or events out of anyone’s control. You can cancel or file a dispute from the booking itself, or using this form.
Why do I need to log in to book?
This is so that you are better able to message/coordinate with a vendor, as well as track your booking (outside of our automated notifications) at any time and cancel/dispute it if needed.
